Title: IT Support Specialist (Temporary - 6 months)

Pay Range: $28.85-$38.46 Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About the role: The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing first level support for endpoint computing hardware and software employing a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Endpoint computing includes physical desktops and laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktops along with associated peripherals and printing.
We are looking an IT Support Specialist that will support the following programs:
- INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models
- 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.
- Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security missions.
What you'll do:
- This person would be the initial point of contact for our employees with IT issues
- New employee setup: create accounts, order hardware and software, configure and deploy laptops and peripherals, setup desk
- Assist with Off-Boarding Tasks
- Provide end-user desktop/computing support submitted via tickets, emails or Teams communication
- Troubleshoot end-user issues with Microsoft OS, MS O365 and other business applications
- Hardware support of printers, PCs, servers and mobile devices
- Support ERP Global Shop Solutions Application
- Performs Tier 1 & 2 and higher support and resolution for incoming help requests from end users, including installing and upgrading software and installing hardware
- Willing to learn Azure Cloud administration
- Assist team with IT Operations support for Network, Servers and Azure Cloud
- Assist with IT infrastructure projects
- Assist with hardware and software procurement
Key job requirements:
- 3-5 years of IT experience with client, server, and network hardware and software
- 3-5 years of experience administering windows desktops
- 3-5 years setting up, troubleshooting printers
- 3-5 years experience supporting enterprise business users
- Willingness to learn new technologies within software and hardware
- Basic knowledge of network switches, routers and protocols
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to support occasional after-hours and weekend support (rare)
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral, self-motivated, goal-oriented professional with an ability to write technical documentation
Desired Experience
- Preferred schedule Mon-Fri 9am to 5:30pm
- Experience in the Aerospace industry
- Experience administering and configuring Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
