Title: Aerospace Test Technician
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Pay Range:$25-$35 hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About this role: The Test Technician will work with the engineering and production teams in an aerospace test environment to document and perform test activities on spacecraft assemblies. This position will support in process manufacturing testing, performance testing, functional testing, and environmental testing.
We are looking for a Test Technicianwill support the following programs:
- INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models.
- 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.
- Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security.
What you'll do:
- Conduct and support performance and functional tests on flight hardware during all phases of the hardware evolution process
- Execute specific step-by-step test procedures to record and verify test data results
- Document problems associated with the functionality or design of the products
- Document and record test set-up configurations, in order to replicate consistent and repeatable test results
- Support setup of electrical and mechanical test equipment
- Conduct tests in environmental environments including, TVAC, thermal and vibration
- Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Work is performed in a test lab, clean room, manufacturing floor, or machine shop environment
Key Job Requirements:
- 2 plus years of work experience.
- High school diploma is required. Experience in aerospace is highly preferred.
- Experience in a test lab capturing and documenting data
- Ability to read and understand drawings, technical procedures, and processes
- Possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Be a self-starter and work in a team environment
Desired Skills & Experience
- Ability to independently operate oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition monitoring devices
- Environmental testing experience (i.e. Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, EMI)
- Basic programming experience in python
- RF experience a plus
