We are looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our compassionate, patient-focused team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform essential technician duties such as animal restraint, administering medications, lab work, and surgical assistance
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgeries, ensuring patient safety
- Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners
- Mentor and train veterinary technicians and assistants
- Support team communication and foster a positive work environment
- Manage team and veterinarian schedules for optimal clinic workflow
- Oversee inventory and ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations
- Work evenings beyond 5 PM and occasional overtime
Qualifications:
- CVT or equivalent certification required
- 3-5 years of experience in veterinary technician roles, including surgery and anesthesia monitoring
- Knowledge of controlled substances regulations
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to both animals and clients
- Ability to work independently and in a team
