- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs, following any specific dietary plans.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
Skills
- Experience in home community care settings, including hospice care, nursing homes, or memory care facilities.
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
