Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in assisted living and memory care environments. Your responsibilities will include offering personal care, companionship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of those you serve.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide support for individuals with autism and dementia care needs.
  • Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs while respecting resident rights.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Lift and transfer residents safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect resident confidentiality.
  • Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of memory care practices and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting residents as needed.
  • Understanding of resident rights and commitment to providing respectful care.
  • Must be willing to undergo background checks as required by state regulations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • On call

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (Preferred)
