As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-acuity respiratory care to critically ill patients, collaborating closely with intensivists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Provides advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients, including mechanical ventilation, invasive and non-invasive respiratory support, and cardiac arrest management.
- Collaborates with intensivists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for critically ill patients.
- Maintains accurate records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Serves as a valuable resource for colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless delivery of critical care services.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest research and developments in critical care, applying knowledge to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal respiratory education program, meeting CRT and RRT certification requirements.
- Minimum two years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP), with experience in mechanically ventilated patients preferred.
- Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in Arizona, with CPR certification.
