Job Description
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant will provide support to the laboratory team by performing routine technical and clerical functions. This includes collecting laboratory specimens, preparing and distributing specimens to testing areas, and performing CLIA waived laboratory tests.
Essential Functions
- Collect blood and other bodily fluids from patients for laboratory testing
- Prepare and distribute laboratory specimens to the appropriate testing areas
- Perform CLIA waived laboratory tests as requested by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of specimen collection and testing results
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- One year of experience in clinical laboratory settings, preferably in phlebotomy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
