Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and providing psychiatric care to adult patients. They will work collaboratively with the Charge Nurse and other unit staff to ensure quality and safe delivery of care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and implement milieu treatment approaches for assigned adult patients.
- Administer initial psychological assessments and provide individual counseling focused on treatment goals.
- Collaborate with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status.
- Work with crisis intervention techniques to address patient risk.
- Provide supportive care to adult patients, including assisting with daily living activities and setting limits.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
- BLS required.
