As a Behavioral Healthcare Provider, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to adult, adolescent, and child patients by planning and implementing milieu treatment approaches.
Job Description
- Collaborate with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate milieu environment for a therapeutic experience.
- Provide supportive care to patients, including participating in conversation, recreational activities, and daily living activities, while setting limits and reassuring patients.
- Function as a milieu therapist to assigned patients, collaborating with the nurse therapist to determine a treatment approach and ensuring quality delivery of care.
- Record all relevant information on patient charts and prepare regular reports describing each patient's mental status and functioning.
