Job Summary
The certified occupational therapy assistant will work under the direction of a registered occupational therapist, performing patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in occupational therapy assistant and be certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Responsibilities
- Perform patient treatments as directed by a registered occupational therapist
- Document treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements
- Maintain documentation on all treatments and ensure appropriate equipment performance prior to each use
Requirements
- Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant
- Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
