What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Scientist TS/SCI CI poly position at Tenica and Associates?
As a Systems Administrator on our project, youll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. Youll analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network and combine your technical experience with communication skills as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. Youll install and set up Linux systems and servers for organization-wide deployments, analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating systems servers, hardware, applications, and software, monitor systems performance, and ensure compliance with security standards. Youll provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups and guide and direct junior personnel on setup and performance. We focus on growing as a team, so well share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve systems within the IC.
The selected candidate will:
- Have 9 years of experience in virtual environments and agency unique hardware
- Knowledge of CentOS 7, Ansible, and VMWare
- Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot digital system environments, including Linux and Windows
- Experience with Operating System (OS)-level scripting and system logs, tools, and monitoring functions
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows OS-level commands
- Knowledge of networking protocols and architectures
- Familiarity of backup solutions, including Cohesity, Acronis, or Life cycle Management tools, such as Starfish
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED and 19 years of experience in systems administration OR Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience in systems administration OR Masters degree and 9 years of experience in systems administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
- Security CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
