As part of a global communications team you will be assisting the EH&S Director by undertaking projects and implementation into all PT Americas plants related to equipment/machine safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, safety inspections, and risk assessments.

This role will be in-person and primarily based in Plymouth, Michigan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and update EH&S procedure that are specific to Powertrain Americas manufacturing plants.
• Implement existing safety programs such as Confined Space, Lockout, Hazard Communication, and machine safety.
• Complete weekly/monthly safety reports.
• Assist the EH&S Director in entering EHS date into the Enabolon system.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Attend monthly safety meetings to suggest corrective actions that would help to better protect our employees and sustain a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
• Ability to problem solve and manage multiple projects at once.
• Assist in creating and implementing EH&S frontline management training. supervisor.
• Conduct EH&S audits of all Powertrain Americas Manufacturing plants.
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.

Qualifications:

• A student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or another related field

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements
• Basic PC Skills - Microsoft Office
