As part of a global communications team you will be assisting the EH&S Director by undertaking projects and implementation into all PT Americas plants related to equipment/machine safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
This role will be in-person and primarily based in Plymouth, Michigan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and update EH&S procedure that are specific to Powertrain Americas manufacturing plants.
- Implement existing safety programs such as Confined Space, Lockout, Hazard Communication, and machine safety.
- Complete weekly/monthly safety reports.
- Assist the EH&S Director in entering EHS date into the Enabolon system.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Attend monthly safety meetings to suggest corrective actions that would help to better protect our employees and sustain a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
- Ability to problem solve and manage multiple projects at once.
- Assist in creating and implementing EH&S frontline management training. supervisor.
- Conduct EH&S audits of all Powertrain Americas Manufacturing plants.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
Qualifications:

A student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or another related field
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements
- Basic PC Skills - Microsoft Office
