Job Description and Responsibilities:
Summary:Performs welding of metal objects using a gas shielded welder. Perform as an active/contributing team member by supporting and performing all the tasks within a cell group. Ability to work frequent overtime, including extended daily shifts and Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
1. Work involves accomplishing welding that fuses similar or different metals and withstands great strength demands while avoiding distortion using proper MIG welding techniques.
2. Check that blue print is the appropriate one for the job. Identify and weld the proper components according to the print.
3. Check first completed piece thoroughly and record on job card. Record hourly quality checks on the job card. Communicate production amounts to supervisor at end of the shift.
4. Tag containers to identify product.
5. Utilize hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for welding jobs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Employee must achieve minimum performance goals within set time frame or will be disqualified from the position.
- Must be able to complete welder certification within the first 60 days.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a certified welder, or able to obtain certification, in MIG and/or TIG welding.
- There are no other minimum qualifications to apply for this position.
