The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Welding Technology Associate Instructor for the Dickson Campus.
Minimum Requirements
SALARY: $50,142-$60,171 per year ($25.71-$30.86 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and related experience.

Minimum Requirements
- Technical Diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education training with credentials in related field. Associate Degree preferred. A comparable combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered.
- Three (3) years of full-time experience in the welding field within the last five (5) years.
- Must possess all required certifications for the field or the ability to become certified within three (3) calendar months. CWE and CWI certifications a plus.
- Must possess computer skills.
- Strong hands-on technical background in field of instruction.
- Must possess a high degree of knowledge in the following areas: shielded metal arc (STICK), gas metal arc (MIG), tungsten inert gas (TIG) and flux cored arc welding; symbols and blueprint reading; cutting techniques; grinding; metal preparation; metallurgy; layout; fabrication; power tools; and measurement techniques.
- Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher and interact with high school and adult students.
- Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude and stable personality.
- Must be willing to remain current in the instructional field and maintain personal certifications and program accreditation(s).
- Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students a plus.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff, the general public and business/industry representatives.
- Must be willing and able to perform administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner.
