Job Summary
Provide leadership for the Humanities Division within the guidelines of the Tennessee Board of Regents and college policies and procedures.
Provide leadership in support of the College’s academic and workforce mission.
This is a tenure track position.
Roane State Community College is a multi-campus comprehensive community college serving an eight-county area in East Tennessee. Qualified applicants, including current employees, must apply for and submit a new application and resume (if required). Job Duties
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in a discipline within the Humanities Division.
Five (5) or more years of higher education teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Evidence of leadership skills.
A commitment to effective strategies to facilitate student completion and success.
Ability and commitment to working collaboratively within the unified TBR community college system.
Ability and commitment to working collaboratively with faculty and college administration.
Ability to manage the division workload including the use of adjunct faculty.

Ability to plan effectively.
Ability to manage operating budget effectively.

- ► Provide leadership for the Humanities Division within the guidelines of the Tennessee Board of Regents and college policies and procedures. ► Provide leadership in support of the College’s academic and workforce mission. ► Oversee the College's theaters, TV Station, and Art Gallery ► Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Humanities Division ► Coordinate and schedule the division curricular offerings. ► Prepare and manage the division workload. ► Assist in the resolution of student issues. ► Mentor new and tenure track faculty. ► Evaluate all faculty and division staff. ► Serve on various committees as needed. ► Other duties as assigned.
