Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to teach courses in Computer Information Technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach computer information technology courses via on-ground as assigned, including evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.
- Post grades during the term for student feedback and submit final grades for each semester by the established deadline.
- Complete required college trainings and submit all required reports, such as attendance, early alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines.
- Advise the Program Chair or Dean at the earliest possibility if unable to teach a class, attend meetings as requested, and comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
- Regularly check JSCC email and departmental mailbox, responding to emails/messages within 48 hours except on weekends.
- Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least two weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of contract execution.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology, a Master's degree in Computer Information Technology, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate-level credit hours in Computer Information Technology from an accredited institution is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of various instructional delivery modes.
Pay Rate: $600 per credit hour

Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
