Job Summary
The Career Coordinator will provide wraparound support services to students with the goal of increasing retention and completion through monitoring and intervention, with a special focus on students within the Medical Coding Program. The Career Coordinator will report to the Grant's Principal Investigator and collaborate with other administrative staff and faculty to oversee the grant's effectiveness in meeting the needs of students.
Job Duties
- Identify students at risk of attrition based on data and reach out for triage and recommendation of interventions based on individual student need
- Make connections to student support services, academic advisors, academic support services, and community resources as needed by students
- Develop individualized pathways to degree with students in concert with academic advisors
- Actively reach out to students who deviate from their pathway for guidance, advice, and connection to resources
- Work with faculty to monitor the progress of assigned students
- Ensure students are meeting with their faculty advisor to prepare their pathway plan to graduation
- Work with the Grant's Principal Investigator to collect, analyze and effectively utilize retention and completion data to report and improve the delivery of service
- Develop and maintain working relationships with community partners and work with high school counselors and administrators to promote program requirements
- Assist with the maintenance of records for assigned students
- Assist in the growth and development of the medical coding program
- Participate in student advising, recruitment, and retention
- Perform other duties as assigned

Pay Rate : $40,896 - $51,120 (Annual salary depending on eligible experience, which is defined by the current compensation plan.)
