Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the digital media coordinator is the
primary contact for the college's public website. They are responsible for all aspects of the website
including enhancements, maintenance, information architecture, user experience design, web accessibility and
technology requirements. They oversee the website's design and aesthetics, implement visual elements that users see and interact with within a web application, structure and design web pages, and optimize the web design for smartphones and accessibility.
Job Duties
Webpage Development
- Assist in developing campus website policy and procedures and ensure that all information posted on the websites follows the institution's policy and procedures.
- Build reusable code for future use. Assist the Backend Web Developer with coding and troubleshooting.
- Enhance the user's experience by designing and building mobile responsive websites, pages, and application and creating information architecture and navigation suitable for any device
- Manage webpage development for new projects and ongoing initiatives using the most relevant frontend stack.
- Develop content for and manage updates to optimize the experience on the College's website. Employ best practices in SEO and web accessibility standards Website Maintenance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal website users, maintaining staff permissions for all sites, providing training, orientation and guidance related to the content management system (CMS) to meet customer and college needs
- Provide hands-on leadership and direction in formulating and implementing a day-to- day website strategy, ensuring all links and images are active.
- Monitor the workflow to guarantee timely task completion and quality control, meticulously track and report team productivity, and provide invaluable analytics insights to elevate the college's online presence
- Enhance user experience by designing and building mobile responsive websites, pages, and application and creating information architecture and navigation suitable for any device
- Oversee the creation, analysis and reporting of comprehensive web analytics. Analyze and address feedback and bug reports received from end users.
- Respond to user requests promptly and appropriately. Marketing and Communication
- Strategize with the Director of Communication and Marketing to achieve continuous enhancement of the college's web presence, developing cohesive strategies to optimize website architecture, content, features, messaging and visual design that reflect college branding
- Regularly provides reporting on SEO performance metrics, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights to achieve desired search engine ranking goals
- In collaboration with the Director of Communication and Marketing, conceptualize, plan, develop, and implement a wide variety of multimedia projects and strategies.
- Provide recommendations to IT and the Director of Communication and Marketing on software / hardware investments required to keep the college's digital infrastructure modern and aligned with best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline
from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in website development / programming
Bachelor's degree in web design, digital media, information technology, computer science or a related discipline from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience in website development / programming
Preferred Qualifications
