Central Sterile Processing Technology Instructor
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Central Sterile Processing Technology Instructor. This full-time position is responsible for teaching and guiding students in the Central Sterile Processing program, preparing them for successful careers in the healthcare industry. This position will be located at our West Tennessee Healthcare Instructional Service Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CRCST or CSPDT) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Central Sterile Processing or a related field.
- Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
- Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Instruct students in both theoretical and practical aspects of sterile processing, including decontamination, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments and supplies.
- Ensure that the curriculum meets all industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, exams, and hands-on practice.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering a positive and effective learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to ensure program quality and student success.
- Must maintain an active advisory committee and communicate with business and industry on a regular basis.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
