Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Specialist/Independent Support Coordinator to join our team. The Program Specialist will be responsible for assisting individuals with intellectual and development delays to live as independently as possible within their communities through the provision of community-based services. The caseload for this position will be primarily working with clients of Katie Beckett program and the TN Strong Families program. This is a full time position with excellent benefits; paid for all State of Tennessee observed holidays; paid vacation and sick leave, etc...
Duties
- Case management services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities,
- Conduct meetings, writing individual support plans and submitting those plans to DDA in order to request services,
- Monthly monitoring of services and completion of vital paperwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree – Preferred field social work, psychology, sociology or related field.
- One to two years of work-related experience. ISC or DDA experience and/or certification a plus. Knowledge of Katie Beckett Waiver Program and/or TN Strong Families Program is also a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required. Must have reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.
- Must authorize the release of any investigative and criminal records obtained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to the Tennessee Community Services Agency.

Reimbursed for all work related travel in accordance with the State of TN reimbursement guidelines.
**Must live in the Johnson City, TN or Tri Cities area due to the location of caseload. Periodic face to face, or phone contact is required.
