DISTILLATION PRODUCTION - CHEMICAL TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS
- Production or manufacturing environment experience
- Experience in column still production - pot still experience will not be considered
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred - Bachelor of science in biology or chemistry
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Distillation Production - Chemical Technician is a crucial part of our manufacturing process, checking gauges and dials to ensure temperatures are just right. You precisely monitor steam and air valves, making minor adjustments to create quality products. During the fermentation process, you test the pH and gravity and pump the mash into the beer well to create our fine Tennessee whiskey.
Between monitoring the stills and fine-tuning flow rates, you maintain a meticulous record of temperature, pressure, and proof. Whether unloading grain trucks, collecting samples, or proofing distillate for barreling, you keep the distilling process running smoothly. A bachelor of science would be beneficial for this role.
