Our TOA Athletic Trainers play an important part in the overall success of the clinic. This role partners with other clinical staff and administrative team members to ensure our patients receive excellent care. Our Athletic Trainers demonstrate a deeply rooted compassion for helping our patients and are committed to making sure our operations run smoothly. Responsibilities include:
· Athletic Trainers with TOA specialize in the prevention, recognition, evaluation and immediate care, referral, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries.
· Regularly perform injury screenings for athletes, students, staff and other active individuals with an emphasis on excellent patient care.
· ATs (Athletic Trainers) communicate with the medical team (including athletes, parents, coaches, administration, physicians, and other medical professionals) regarding athlete’s status and ability to return to competition.
· Develop rehabilitation and treatment regimens in conjunction with physical therapists including Home Exercise Programs
· Although every effort is made to establish sports schedules, ATs demonstrate the ability to be dynamic by adapting to varying coverage schedules and conditions.
· ATs will address “critical needs” and medical situations which occur on short notice and will require immediate action. Organization, prioritization, judgment, and problem-solving skills will be challenged.
· Willingness to assist with other duties and coverage assignments as directed

· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
· Graduation from an approved athletic training program OR equivalent athletic training internship program
· State of TN AT License
· BOC Certified
· Experience in an orthopedic environment is a plus.
