POSITION SUMMARY
The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for maintaining all business office functions in Tennessee Style Weight Loss Business unit. The Front Office Coordinator is required to support the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives of Tennessee Style Weight Loss and must demonstrate a commitment to provide quality service to patients, physicians, coworkers, and the public.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Greets and welcomes all patients, visitors, drug representatives and vendors.
Facilitates new patient paperwork and answers patient questions regarding billing, bariatric surgery, medical weight loss options.
Distributes and collects the appropriate forms for the patient.
Facilitates the prepping and maintenance of patient charts.
Schedules and confirms any follow up appointments and/or outside procedures.
Open the business office, straighten up the waiting area, and make sure the door is locked at closing time.
Notify manager of any maintenance, building, or IT issues within the business unit.
Collect any funds due and balance daily financials. Reviews account and post charges to insure proper claims processing.
Assemble, create, and maintain patient charts.
Review patient charts for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
Files, laboratory reports, patient history reports, and other paperwork that has been separated from the patient’s chart.
Scan daily Superbills into the appropriate file on the Shared Drive.
Answer phones, check phone messages, and takes messages.
Orders office supplies for the business unit.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
OTHER SKILLS
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of medical software, terminology and procedures. Strong organizations skills and attention to detail. Ability to speak, read and write in English; good problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills; good written and oral communication skills; good dexterity; Microsoft Office, basic computer skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. Will require carrying patient charts and supplies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
