Essential Functions
Tennessee Tech faculty are committed teachers / scholars who bring research and creative discovery to problems of practice in higher education and K-12 settings. The essential functions for this position are to : Teach online and on-ground graduate courses that focus on quantitative research and other innovative courses relevant to the candidate's areas of expertise; advise graduate students; serve on, and chair graduate / doctoral level committees, and chair dissertation committees; mentor graduate students through their research projects and early career development; engage in scholarly work such as serving on organizational boards, editorial boards, or conference committees; develop and update course curricula and graduate programs; establish and maintain a record of quality, well-defined scholarly productivity demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications, acquisition of external funding, and presentations at state, regional and national conferences; provide service to the institution, profession, and community; and develop grant proposals for internal and external funding.
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a relevant field closely aligned with education and / or quantitative research.
- Full-time university teaching experience in research fields. Proven success in on-ground and online teaching.
- Demonstrated high-quality scholarly accomplishment appropriate to stage in academic career.
- Clear ability to instruct, manage, mentor / motivate, and engage graduate students.
- Strong methodological training in quantitative methods.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software packages including SPSS , R, and JASP .
- Excellent oral and written communication expertise.
