We are seeking a proactive and pragmatic Associate General Counsel to join our in-house legal team. This individual will report directly to the General Counsel and will represent the Club in a wide range of legal and risk management matters with a focus on transactional work. The attorney will collaborate frequently with the General Counsel and others to advise executive leadership and others on various legal risks, business strategies, and commercial deals, including negotiating, drafting, and analyzing a wide variety of partnership, vendor, venue, ticketing, technology, and other commercial agreements. The position will require excellent business judgment, problem-solving, and strategic thinking, with an ability to work independently and with others in a collegial, fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal and business counsel to all departments of the organization
- Negotiate, draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and other legal documents necessary to facilitate transactions including sponsorship, licensing, ticketing, vendor, and event agreements
- Advise internal clients on transactional, corporate, development, intellectual property, labor, employment, real estate, and other legal matters
- Assist with company risk management initiatives and prepare and advise on affiliated policies, protocols, and trainings
- Research and draft memoranda, opinions, and correspondence on a range of legal issues
- Manage and assist with any claims, disputes and/or litigation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Admission to the Tennessee bar or ability to qualify as an in-house attorney
- 4-7 years of progressively responsible experience as a practicing transactional attorney, with sports industry and in-house experience preferred
- Extensive experience negotiating and drafting a wide array of complex agreements
- Experience fostering successful interactions and communicating with a diverse array of colleagues, clients, stakeholders, and leaders at all levels
- The highest commitment to high ethical and professional standards, including personal integrity and sound judgement
- Self-motivated and a demonstrated ability to efficiently project manage multiple tasks and initiatives at the same time
- Ability to leverage resources and quickly adapt to and learn new areas of the law
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to prioritize and work as a team with other departments in a high-performing and high-profile environment
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills, negotiation skills, and an ability to identify and address complicated and sensitive problems with creativity and sound judgment
- A keen attention to accuracy and detail
- Knowledge of and experience in sports law transactions and related topics
