What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Tennessee Trailers?
Tennessee Trailers has been manufacturing high quality marine trailers for 60 years. We are looking to add an additional team member. The desired candidate must have a great attitude and work ethic, must be able to work as a member of a team and be willing to help as needed.
Job Description
The team member will be responsible for making deliveries to customers, assisting customers with unloading, and representing the company in a professional manner.
Deliveries include materials hauled on the back of a flat bed as well as deliveries that are towed behind a delivery truck.
Responsibilities
- Pre-inspection of loads
- Securing loads as needed
- Good driving record with no traffic violations (NO CDL REQUIRED)
- Operating a 26' flatbed truck safely (NO CDL REQUIRED)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Follow all safety practices
- Completing paperwork at the beginning and end of each trip
- occasional overnight trips
- Attention to detail and quality
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Comfortable driving a F550 or similar
- Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Delivery experience preferred but not required
- Must have a good attendance record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have or be able to get an DOT medical card
- Must have stable work history
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
