Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles, including trucks with manual transmission, for the purpose of transporting goods.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
- Deliver goods to specified locations while adhering to designated routes and schedules.
- Handle refrigerated trailers as needed, ensuring temperature-sensitive items are transported correctly.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize forklifts or roll-off trucks for loading and unloading heavy materials when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any freight documentation required.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery sites.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and logistics is a plus.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Knowledge of handling refrigerated trailers is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts and roll-off trucks is desirable.
- Strong physical stamina to handle lifting, loading, and unloading tasks effectively.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
