Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in social or behavioral science or closely related field with three (3) or more years of work experience in the field required. Master’s Degree in social or behavioral science or closely related field preferred. Experience working with children/youth and families with significant behavioral health needs. Non-profit organization experience and work history within child serving systems strongly preferred.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
· Excellent collaboration, customer service, supervisory, management and leadership skills.
· Knowledge of the service area and of resources for children with mental health issues.
· Knowledge and personal experience with children who have behavioral disorders.
· Knowledge and experience with the juvenile justice, educational, and other child-serving systems.
· Desire to help and support parents of children with SED, with strong customer service skills.
· Commitment to system of care principles, cultural competency & effective teamwork.
· Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
· Excellent written, computer, communication, and problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
· Established support system and access to resources.
· Ability to travel, access to reliable transportation and current auto insurance required.
· Access to reliable home internet service required.
Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
· Oversees, coordinates, and implements all activities related to planning, coordinating, and implementing support of families and children in Juvenile Justice Program.
· Provides direct supervision of the Family Support Specialists and Youth and Family Therapists and daily program operations.
· Coordinates assignments of families to the Family Support Specialists and Youth and Family Therapists.
· Assists and supports Family Support Specialists and Youth and Family Therapists in developing skills in working with diverse families and in promoting positive interactions.
· Facilitate individual and team-based supervision meetings.
· Work with community-based referral partners to ensure program continues to receive active referrals.
· Ensures that families are receiving assistance, help & support services that meet their needs.
· Ensure that all data and reports are properly managed and documented in a timely manner.
· Ensure that staff maintain client records and complete Strengths-Based Assessments (CANS, ACES, CGSQ at intake and discharge) Interpretive Summaries, and Treatment Plans as required by program scopes and implementation.
· Support staff in the implementation of T.A.R.G.E.T training.
· Provide community-based training as needed to communities and families.
· Collaborates with the Program Director on program scope of services, implementation, and sustainability.
· Collaborates with the Clinical Director on programmatic clinical needs.
· Ensure client information is secured consistent with HIPAA requirements.
· Ensure that we conform to CARF standards applicable to the services provided.
· Other duties and tasks as assigned.
