TenneX Legal is seeking an experienced New Jersey-based paralegal with a strong background in family law and civil litigation. This role requires exceptional drafting and legal research skills to prepare high-quality legal documents for attorneys handling complex cases.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents, including motions, oppositions, amendments, certifications, and orders.
- Prepare documents for default judgments, requests for hearings, modifications of custody, enforcement of litigants' rights, and counterclaims.
- Review case dockets and correct deficiencies in filings.
- Conduct thorough legal research to ensure compliance with New Jersey court procedures.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys regarding case filings and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in New Jersey family law and civil litigation.
- Strong legal drafting, writing, and research skills with experience preparing motions and pleadings.
- Knowledge of New Jersey court procedures, e-filing systems, and case law.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict filing deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
