What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bio Med Tech II - Bio-medical Engineering, FT, day position at TENNOVA HEALTHCARE-NORTH KNOXVILLE?
Designs, develops and provides safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical equipment. Performs inspections for incoming inspections and modifications of medical equipment, non-medical equipment and communications equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures, manufacturer service requirements and regulatory codes and standards. Ensures that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality control standards. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to a supervisor or manager. High School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred and/or at least 5 years of direct experience in the field.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
