Ultrasound Tech- Tennova Medical Group, Women’s Care, PRN
Shift: PRN Days, 8a-4:30pm, Flexible Scheduling
As an Ultrasound Tech at North Knoxville Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:
- Current BLS from AHA or ARC.
- Must be a graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and hold a certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Previous OBGYN experience preferred but not required.
About the Job:
- A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.
- Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
- Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
- Maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and be self-motivated to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
