Provides leadership and management of Intensive Therapeutic Services department. Responsible for ensuring the financial and clinical standards of care for all programs. Coordinates admissions and builds and maintains relationships with referral sources. Markets programs and develops new referral sources. Involved in program development and expansion. Responsible for ensuring quality bilingual services to monolingual families. Develops new programs and services to meet community and referral source needs. Collaborates as a member of the leadership team with all programs and departments. Ensures trauma informed, developmentally appropriate practices and culture throughout department. Meets or exceeds productivity standards in all programs.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide leadership and management of Intensive Therapeutic Services program, which includes Tennyson Center’s Intensive In-home therapy and Outpatient programs.
- Determine appropriate and diversified funding for services.
- Provide leadership focusing on the areas of clinical philosophy, culturally specific programming, budgeting, outcome evaluation, evidence-based practices, and practice standards.
- Provide ongoing quality assurance and compliance monitoring according to regulations and contracts. Responsible for the implementation of all state licensing regulations, Medicaid compliance and COA accreditation standards.
- Effectively develop and manage budgets, rates, and billing in partnership with Accounting Department.
- Coordinates assignment of cases to staff members in collaboration with admissions and program supervisors.
- Carry cases providing direct therapeutic services (therapy and clinical case management services) as necessary to maintain budgeted census including organizing and providing caseload coverage as needed for planned and unplanned staff absences.
- Coordinate & facilitate trainings and consultation services as necessary to support staff.
- Work closely with referral sources, admissions department, and staff members to ensure effective teamwork and partnership on cases demonstrating adherence to established contract expectations and agency guidelines.
- Form positive work alliances with representatives of community agencies including social services, schools, mental health organizations, courts, probation, and others. Participate actively in collaborative meetings and projects.
- Develop and implement marketing plans and activities to increase referral base.
- Effectively communicate with Clinical Team and other campus-based staff and maintain a working knowledge of all Tennyson Center programs.
- Active involvement in billing issues and denials to assure timely payment for services.
