Tennyson Center’s Residential Program focuses on meeting the individualized needs of children and adolescents. The program integrates social, emotional, behavioral, and academic learning and growth. Our goal is to create an environment where children and adolescents feel safe and supported to heal and develop the necessary skills to succeed in a less restrictive setting. Tennyson Center is seeking a qualified mental health Clinician to provide individual, family and group therapy, in addition to clinical case management and crisis management to children and adolescents approximately 5-18 years old in a residential setting.
Essential Job Functions
- Interest in working with children and adolescents who may have had exposure to traumatic or adverse experiences and who have an intellectual disability, developmental disability, or diagnosis of Autism.
- Conducts individual, family, and group therapy services.
- Works collaboratively from intake to discharge with internal and external multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and continuity of care for clients and families.
- Provides clinical case direction and recommendations to teachers and Youth Treatment Counselors.
- Facilitates monthly external staffing meetings.
- Actively participates in weekly individual clinical supervision, group supervision, case consultation, and classroom debrief meetings.
- Maintain up to date documentation and overall quality assurance for assigned clients.
- Maintains the highest standard of cultural competency in all dealings with clients and staff.
- Must be willing to support clients in times of crisis.
