Project Engineer
Job Summary:
Working closely with the Project Manager to see the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Review project plans and perform take offs
Review, Track and log Submittals and RFIs
Manage/Organize drawings to ensure they are up to date
Review Extra work tags with Project Coordinator
Attend field meetings when necessary
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects.
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnels performance) and report regularly on project status.
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to aid and technical support.
Review deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Education and Experience:
- 2 years of electrical experience/knowledge of construction, design, and cost management as a Project Engineer with Commercial, Institutional and/or Industrial projects.
Risk assessment/management
In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles
Able to read and understand Plans and Specifications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn new programs.
Experience with Public and Private construction is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
