Project Engineer
Job Summary:
Working closely with the Project Manager to see the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Review project plans and perform take offs
· Review, Track and log Submittals and RFI’s
· Manage/Organize drawings to ensure they are up to date
· Review Extra work tags with Project Coordinator
· Attend field meetings when necessary
· Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects.
· Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
· Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
· Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
· Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to aid and technical support.
· Review deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Education and Experience:
- 2 years of electrical experience/knowledge of construction, design, and cost management as a Project Engineer with Commercial, Institutional and/or Industrial projects.
· Risk assessment/management
· In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles
· Able to read and understand Plans and Specifications.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn new programs.
· Experience with Public and Private construction is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
