Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Cutter and Draftsman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating CNC machinery, creating precise technical drawings using CAD/CAM software, and safely operating a forklift. Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program CNC machines to cut and shape materials according to specifications.
  • Create and modify technical drawings using CAD software to meet production requirements.
  • Develop and optimize CAM programs for efficient CNC machining.
  • Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and equipment as needed.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards in all processes and products.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and designs.
  • Maintain CNC equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operating CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM programming.
  • Forklift certification or proven experience operating a forklift. (optional)
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, measurements, and tolerances.
  • Ability to work with various materials (e.g., metals, plastics, composites).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and detailed drawings based on specifications provided by engineers or project managers.
  • Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet operational requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to facilitate the assembly line process.
  • Assist in the tooling design for machining processes, ensuring compatibility with milling machines and other factory equipment.
  • Conduct revisions of existing drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope.
  • Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and related materials.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is required.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawing standards.
  • Familiarity with machining processes, including CAM programming, is a plus.
  • Experience working in a factory or assembly line environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers and their application in drafting is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
