We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating comprehensive technical documentation, developing user guides, and producing impactful PowerPoint presentations. This role requires the ability to synthesize complex technical information and translate it into clear and concise prose tailored to diverse audiences.
A strong interest in AI and ML software and hardware is highly desirable. Familiarity with GitHub and open-source software projects is essential, with bonus points for experience in AI compilers, LLVM, or MLIR.
This role ishybrid, based out of Austin, TX.

Responsibilities :
Develop, write, and maintain high-quality software-focused technical documentation, including API references, developer guides, system architecture overviews, and technical specifications.Create engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations to support internal and external communications based on team driven feedback and requirements.Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts.Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accurate content that is easily understood by various audiences.Develop training materials and curriculum to support product education and user adoption.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in AI and ML, to ensure documentation remains relevant and accurate.Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and standards.Experience & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience with curriculum development, training development, training and educational tools and materials development5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the Hardware or technology industry.Proven ability to create clear, concise, and well-structured documentation for complex technical topics.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.Proficiency with GitHub source control and using Markdown for creating documentation.Experience with documentation tools and software (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Confluence) is a plus.Familiarity with AI and ML concepts and technologies, or a strong interest in learning about them.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
