As a Lab Assistant, you'll play an important role behind the scenes-helping with sample intake, reagent prep, basic testing support, and maintaining a clean, organized lab space.

YOUR ROLE IN SUPPORTING LAB OPERATIONS

You'll work closely with our lab team to support the day-to-day activities that keep the lab running efficiently. This is a great entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on lab experience, learn industry best practices, and be part of a team that values precision, collaboration, and safety. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Sample Intake & Logging

• Receive and inspect incoming samples for condition and completeness
• Accurately log sample information into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Label and organize samples according to lab protocols

FTIR Analysis Support

• Assist with basic FTIR (Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) analysis under supervision
• Support the calibration and routine maintenance of FTIR instruments

Reagent Preparation

• Learn how to prepare HPTLC samples for analysis
• Prepare laboratory reagents and solutions following SOPs and safety guidelines
• Label, store, and document reagents accurately

Lab Cleaning & Maintenance

• Help maintain a clean and safe lab environment by washing glassware, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste properly

Data Entry & Documentation

• Enter sample information, results, and notes into the LIMS system
• Log incoming reagents and equipment
• Maintain accurate, legible records in line with GMP documentation standards

POSITION TYPE & TRAVEL

We are open to full-time or part-time candidates for this full-time, on-site at Tentamus California Irvine, CA. Standard full-time hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (40 hours per week), but we're happy to discuss part-time availability based on your schedule and our team's needs.

TO EXCEL AS THE LAB ASSISTANT

The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States, indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship; hold a high school diploma or GED, AS/BS in related science field preferred but not required, have strong communication skills both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills. Other qualifications include:

• Prior lab experience is helpful but not required-we're happy to train the right person
• Strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail
• Comfort with computers and data entry systems
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs as part of routine duties; reasonable accommodation can be made for individuals in accordance with applicable laws.
