Job Description
Summary: The main function of a Security Engineer is to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information. This role will require in-depth knowledge of cyber security and security tool management.
Job Responsibilities
Self-motivated requiring little to no guidance. Experienced in troubleshooting a wide array of information technology problems. Ability to build custom rules in security tools for business compliance and security requirements.
Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles. Strong experience in data protection with a background in the implementation of a SASE solution and managing zero-trust security model. Competency to administer daily operations in a Secure Email Gateway and collaborate with cyber operations teams. Responsible for supporting the Data Loss Prevention program to include management of policies across multiple technologies.
Participate in security compliance efforts, develop, and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies. Implementation of deploying and managing security tools.
Qualifications
6 years of experience required working in information technology.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as cyber security, computer science, or related fieldpreferred.
Consistent implementation of security solutions, experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing.
Background in email gateway management, SMTP, Microsoft Exchange Online or equivalent.
Strong proficiency and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication, and security protocols.
