Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance solutions in the cloud. You will leverage AWS, Java, and Python technologies to build innovative applications that serve our growing customer base. In this role, you will also take ownership of driving innovation within the team, proactively identifying opportunities for new solutions and improvements. Key Responsibilities
– Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
– Write high-quality, maintainable code in Java and Python, adhering to best practices and engineering standards.
– Take ownership of innovation by proposing and leading new initiatives that align with business objectives and improve technical capabilities.
– Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices within the team to solve complex challenges.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
– Optimize applications for scalability, performance, and reliability on AWS infrastructure.
– Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on coding best practices and architectural decisions.
– Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
– Participate in code reviews and continuously improve the quality of the software.
– Optionally, explore and integrate Generative AI technologies into new or existing applications, leveraging libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenAI.
– Act as a thought leader, regularly contributing ideas for technical advancements, process improvements, and new product features.
Required Skills & Experience
– 5 years of professional software engineering experience. (Internship experience does not apply)
– 2 years of experience with AWS services
– 2 years of experience in Agile practices
– Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
– Solid experience in front end application developer using Angular.
– Experience designing and deploying scalable, distributed systems.
– Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
– Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
– Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.
– A passion for innovation, with a track record of driving new technologies or process improvements.
Optional Experience (Nice To Have)
– Experience with machine learning or AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
– Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and applications.
– Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
– Understanding of data processing and storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Redshift).
– Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Education
