Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user systems. In addition to standard systems administration duties, this role will provide desktop support and troubleshooting for internal users. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration:

  • Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts and incidents.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, and support audits and vulnerability assessments.

Desktop Support:

  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including setting up and decommissioning accounts, devices, and access permissions.
  • Install and configure desktop applications and operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for users.

Project Support & Collaboration:

  • Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Act as a technical resource for junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in systems administration and desktop support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with network configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., switches, firewalls, VLANs).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network , Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar are a plus.

  • On-call availability and some weekend hours for maintenance or project support.
