Enterprise Portfolio Value Manager
Our client, a Fortune 100 Credit Union based out of Vienna, VA, is seeking an Enterprise Portfolio Value Manager to drive Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) within a strategic enterprise portfolio undergoing Agile transformation. This role requires a collaborative Agile champion to oversee value streams, implement lean governance funding, and manage portfolio operations while adapting to corporate culture. Experience in Agile enterprise transformation is essential.
Location : local to Vienna, VA is preferred. The contractor can be fully remote but will be required to come to campus in Vienna, VA at least quarterly. Candidates are required to reside within the continental United States to be considered.
Responsibilities :
Lead the launch and management of value streams within the enterprise portfolio.
Establish and maintain a framework for work intake, prioritization, and decision-making to optimize value flow.
Oversee the portfolio Kanban, ensuring governance decisions (stop, pivot, persevere) align with priority value delivery.
Monitor Lean Budgeting guardrails to ensure funding aligns with strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps for planned work.
Oversee portfolio reporting on metrics, objectives, and key results, advocating for the inclusion of value-based measurements.
Collaborate with executive stakeholders to provide critical insights, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment.
Work with Agile Coaches to identify gaps in Lean Portfolio Management practices and drive continuous improvement.
Adjust portfolio direction as needed to accommodate strategic shifts in delivery and scope.
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic goal owners and enterprise initiative leads.
Foster strong relationships with lines of business, team members, management, key stakeholders, and external partners (e.g., vendors). Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Extensive experience managing complex, cross-organizational programs.
Advanced knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe), Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), and enterprise Agile frameworks.
Strong expertise in project management best practices, including change management, risk management, and executive reporting.
Ability to track and monitor project progress, identify process gaps, implement controls, and report outcomes to business leaders.
Proven experience managing multiple priorities in both independent and team environments.
Strong background working with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, staff, and external vendors.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills to drive consensus and ensure initiative success.
Experience delivering presentations to virtual and in-person teams.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Desired Qualifications :
Experience launching value streams and implementing enterprise-level Lean Portfolio Management (LPM). Compensation : $70-$85 / hr. depending on experience
Duration : W2 contract. Opportunity to extend.
