The Tepa Companies are seeking a Civil Project Engineer will assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects. Junior Civil Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting civil plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
This role is intended for May 2025 college graduates who majored in an applicable field. As Tepa continues to grow, we are focusing on hiring recent graduates to begin their careers at our organization with opportunities to receive hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth within the company. This is an entry-level position that does not require previous experience but does require completed education in the particular discipline.

Job Functions:
- Assist in site development design for grading, drainage, sewer, water, erosion control, and road design.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability.
- Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering and construction related issues.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing of proposals, contracts, or cost estimates.
- Perform designs for underground and overhead power installations.
- Support efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Interface with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations.
- Assist in coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of utility engineering work.
- Research available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to utilize for the execution of required project designs.
- Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET accredited program required
- Engineer-In Training certification preferred
- 0-3 years of engineering experience within the civil engineering and design industry
- US Citizen with ability to get on military bases
- Previous Federal Government project design experience; preferred
- Basic knowledge in standard civil engineering techniques, principles, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MicroStation, Civil 3D), and civil analysis programs
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and short deadlines
Salary : $33 - $40
