ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Concrete Foreman to be responsible for supervising a team of laborers, finishers, and carpenters, and ensuring the successful completion of various concrete construction tasks.
Job Functions:
- Lead and supervise a team of concrete workers in performing various tasks related to concrete construction including concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.
- Consult blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed.
- Ensure that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings.
- Inspect concrete after the formwork and shoring have been removed and instruct concrete laborers and finishers on how to correct defects and concrete roughness.
- Plan and organize daily work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Update a 3-week schedule every week.
- Lead daily safety toolbox talks.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on proper construction techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment.
- Ensure that all machinery and tools are available to the crew and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
- Perform inspections to ensure the crew’s performance is up to standard.
- Ensure that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are procured in a time-efficient manner.
- Monitor daily procedures to ensure that proper quality is maintained and that schedules are being followed.
- Create progress reports daily and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor.
- Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner.
- Ensure periodic maintenance and proper storage of equipment and tools.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 10 years of experience in concrete construction; formwork, rebar installation, and concrete finishing techniques
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, techniques, and equipment
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be able to get badged on Military Facilities
- Ability to work out of town
