Operational Technology "OT" Specialist
Position Description Summary (Position purpose, Geographical scope)
The Process Control Technology (PCT) Information Technology (IT) / Operational Technology (OT) Systems Expert will be primarily responsible for the configuration, administration, security and lifecycle planning for the PCT IT / OT environment (network, firewalls, clients, etc) at the Baytown, TX Site.

Major Tasks / Accountabilities
The PCT IT / OT Systems Expert is accoun for the following areas :
- Oversees the Process Control Network Architecture including the Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES)
- Oversees the Cybersecurity practices and ensures compliance with Corporate standards.
- Owner of Front and Back Area Firewall Rules
- Manage MES operating system patching and antivirus
- Support Lifecycle Upgrades of MES equipment and software solutions
- Oversee backups of OT Systems (MES, DCS,PLC)
- Planning and Coordinating Lifecycle of PCT / MES operating systems and equipment
The PCT IT / OT Systems Expert needs to meet the high expectations
towards PCT Systems / Network as to significantly improve the
profitability of covestro 's processes by increasing efficiency, reducing
downtime, ensuring data quality and backups. He / she will have to closely
cooperate with production, PCT, Global OT Security and IT to identify improvement
potential and execute improvement projects.
Work Relationships
The primary internal customer will be the PCT Asset Engineer, Automation Systems Engineers / Specialists, Global Process Control Technologies and Corporate IT.
External Customers / Partners include the 3rd Party maintenance technicians from the Systems' manufacturers (Emerson, HIMA, etc).
