Principal Engineer-Static
Support of mid to large projects and engineering at the Baytown Plant for all mechanical needs such as related to vessels, heat exchangers, and overall equipment engineering. Develops and approves equipment specifications, review and approval of vendor drawings and calculations, and general support of project managers for mechanical needs. Mentors, assists, trains, and develops junior engineers. Seen as a go to expert on all mechanical engineering needs.
Major Responsibilities :
- Capable of leading the mechanical effort on large projects.
- Prepares technical specifications for fabricated equipment such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Provides assistance and expertise to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering.
- Capable of directing the development of Engineering Standards in the mechanical area.
- Keeps abreast of new technologies.
- Works with manufacturers of new equipment and services to make presentations and conduct seminars.
