General Summary :
This position is the "voice of the business" and advocates for the business. It is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of hardware and software releases by using a well-defined software development life cycle process. This position serves as the quality gatekeeper understanding and coordinating feature backlog for all releases as well as their dependencies with other department's systems. It leads the translation of software features into technical requirements and introduces Agile Scrum-based software development to the teams. The Product Owner will ensure solution designs are meeting market needs by defining release plans and scope with technology and business leaders. This role serves as the central voice on software releases ensuring organization priorities are met.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Collaborate with business stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product, including Feature Level Grooming
Develop specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams and ensure business priorities are met.
Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners and stakeholders to identify product scope, dependencies and delivery timelines.
Assess value, develop epics, and prioritize stories to ensure work focuses on tasks that provide maximum value and are aligned with business strategy.
Document and educate on Agile methodologies and promote adoption across department(s).
Stay current and familiar with marketplace, make build vs buy decisions for the domain
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Provide the link between all internal and external customers, including any third party regarding business requirements and software functionality, throughout the release lifecycle, from inception to general release to ongoing support.
Owner of the Product Vision, Product Backlog and Product Roadmap with highest business outcomes
Responsible for Release Planning and overall delivery and speed to market
Analyze and document system functional processes as part of any projects or change requests.
Facilitate workshops, interviews and product walkthroughs with customers and stakeholders.
Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information. Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements appraising new product ideas and / or product changes.
Develops Financial Model to prove the feasibility of idea.
Possess a strong understanding of end-to-end business and customer experience.
Responsible for multiple products and projects simultaneously that may cross multiple business units, companies and areas of expertise
Work Experience and / or Education :
5 years work experience in retail technology
CSPO desirable
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience Master's Degree in Business desirable
