After announcing its entry into the league in 2022, Crown Legacy FC played its inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season in 2023. CLFC is committed to entrenching itself within Matthews and the surrounding areas creating community grassroots events.

Position Summary
Crown Legacy FC is looking for qualified candidates to serve as Matchday Event Staff for the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Season. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn various aspects of planning and executing soccer matches for the franchise. The position is ideal for current college students and/or recent college graduates that are seeking an entry level part-time position within the sports industry. Hourly compensation is provided, but housing, benefits, or relocation expenses are not included. Please note that this job is a part-time, seasonal position that runs through the 2025 Crown Legacy FC season, to include potential playoffs.
Roles and Responsibilities
o Responsible for setting up and breaking down all Crown Legacy FC matches at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews including field boards, brand graphics, and sponsor elements.
o Work with the Matchday Producer to ensure Game Entertainment and competition elements of the match are successfully executed as the Field Manager.
o Assist as the Matchday Visiting Team Locker Room Liaison to confirm all Locker Room Standardization practices are in compliance with League Guidelines.
o Serve as the Matchday Referee Liaison in accordance with the MLS NEXT Pro Policies to ensure that all Field and Competition regulations are followed.
o Responsible for orchestrating and executing in-game and sponsor activations throughout the stadium.
o Assist Ticket Operations and Marketing with execution of all Field Experience Programs throughout the match.
o Responsible for coordination of Hospitality and Catering elements for the Teams and Club.
o Lend support to Matchday & Event Operations Consultant with other duties as assigned in conjunction with the Mecklenburg Sportsplex Staff.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
o Prior internships, volunteer work, or any work experience in Events and Operations is preferred.
Required Skills
o Must be available to work most of Crown Legacy FC season that starts in March and ends as late as October.
o Duties and responsibilities may fall on evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.
o Must have reliable transportation to and from the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews.
o Must be able to lift 45 pounds and be on your feet for 6 hours at a time.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point.
o Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
o Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
