Duties
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute menu items that align with seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and best practices.
- Stay updated on current trends in sushi cuisine to enhance menu offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to food preparation.
