What will I be doing?
As a Kitting/Shipping Associate in our Fulfillment Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of products for shipment to customers. This role is essential in providing an exceptional customer experience by delivering orders in pristine condition. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team to meet daily packaging quotas while maintaining quality standards.
A typical day might include the following
- Pack selected items securely and efficiently, ensuring proper packaging materials and techniques are used
- Verify order accuracy and completeness before sealing packages
- Inspect individual components for defects or damage during the kitting and packing process
- Report any discrepancies or issues to Team Lead
- Properly dispose of packaging materials and maintain a clutter-free workspace
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and any required technical documentation
- Communicate effectively with Senior Shipper and Fulfillment Coordinator regarding any challenges or bottlenecks
- Coordinate with other team members, including pickers and packers, to ensure a seamless workflow
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a kitting, shipping or fulfillment position
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Team player with good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
- Manual dexterity for tasks such as sealing, labeling, and assembling products
- Physical Requirements: The role involves standing for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting, and carrying items up to 25 lbs. Candidates should be physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the job.
